Nature & Leadership
When’s the last time you connected with nature? Spending time in nature helps us personally, while also setting us up to be more grounded, effective, and visionary leaders!
🤍 Nature guides us on being mindful and present:
It slows us down and brings attention to our thoughts – as we walk we are more aware of what we hear and smell, how we see light and shadows, how a breeze feels, or even how the clean air tastes.
🤍 It invites us to be self-reflective:
To think through – what am I currently doing? What am I trying to achieve? What truly matters? And how is what I’m doing aligned to my values and goals?
🤍 It inspires us to be more creative and innovative:
Connecting with nature open up creative pathways and encourages us to be receptive to fresh thoughts, ideas, insights, and solutions.
We don’t need an extensive hike to feel the benefits of nature. Aiming for 15-20 minutes a day has shown to bring benefits. Maybe a shift in your walk to work to go through a park, or a 10 min afternoon coffee break while sitting under a tree.
💚 How do you currently weave nature into your week?
